events for everyone to enjoy and the surrounding areas also offer some places of
interest you might want to visit.
Medina, Texas, where Las Aves RV Resort is located, is "The Apple Capital of
Texas", every year the Texas International Apple Festival is held on the banks of the
Medina River. Medina has some of the most spectacular scenery in all of the Texas Hill
Country.
While in Medina you will find antique shops and gift shops to browse. You can find
just about anything apple, including apple ice cream.
Bandera, Texas
"The Cowboy Capital of the World".
Medina and Bandera counties are hosts to the Hill Country State Natural Area, which you
might find of interest. Bandera has the Lost Maples State Natural Area and the Bandera
Walking Tour.
A few of the favorite activities in Bandera are horseback riding, rodeos, hunting and
fishing. There is also the Frontier Times Museum where you may plan to visit.

visitors from all over the United States visit each year, the Schreiner College, the
Cowboy Artist of America Museum, and many craft fairs. |
